A case is usually a must-have when you buy a new phone. There is a possibility that it can fall down, and some parts might be broken, like shattered screen or back panel when it’s made of glass. You can help yourself and your device by using a case, and today we will take a look at Pitaka’s MagEZ Case 2 for Galaxy S22 Plus.
Aramid Fibre strikes again, the case for S22 line is made from the same material as the majority of their products. It’s thin, easy to put on the device and to put off too. Manufacturer improved this compared to MagEZ Case for an iPhone 12 which I’m using from time to time due to a bit difficult process of removing the case from the phone.

The S22 Plus version is MagSafe compatible, so if you have a charger or any magnetically attached powerbank, everything will work with Samsung. I checked that with my charger and two powerbanks, every and each one of them worked flawlessly. Magnetic attraction is stronger compared to an iPhone 12 case. Every time you connect a charger or powerbank, there’s a characteristic „click” sound. It means that it’s in place and won’t fall off during use.
This time around the case is not fully opened, access to buttons on the right is great, same goes for USB-C port, speaker and microphone in the lower part of MagEZ Case 2. The top part is also opened, but they could make a small hole for a microphone instead of opening it up.

The left side is closed, and it improves grip, and I liked it better than opened space in MagEZ for an iPhone 12. On the back of it there’s a cutout for cameras and LED. Both of them are made as they should be. I didn’t encounter any problems during photo shoots, with or without artificial lightning from LED light next to the camera system.
MagSafe is a game changer, until now it was compatible with iPhones and nothing else. Pitaka changed that fast. Apple’s charger can use its 15W to charge S22 Plus without any issues at all. Magnets are also good for MagSafe accessories to use them, but I didn’t have anything more than Pitaka’s powerbanks to check it…

Should you buy it?
MagEZ Case 2 for Galaxy S22 Plus is great, it’s built better, and magnetic attraction is vastly improved. It’s good to see that it allows the user to use MagSafe chargers, powerbanks and accessories because until now they were Apple exclusives.
If you don’t like bulky cases, look no further and get MagEZ Case 2 for your Samsung, it’s available for regular, Plus and Ultra.
