MagSafe emergence with an iPhone 12 was a good indicator for 3rd party accessory makers. I knew there would be many good or bad products to come, but one of them is unique. MagEZ Slider is the newest one in Pitaka’s portfolio, and it blows away competition and even Apple, thanks to it multi-purpose design.
Why it’s unique
Until now, I didn’t see a charging stand/device which could accommodate more than just an iPhone. Here you can attach AirPods or any other TWS earphones which can be charged wirelessly and Apple Watch, if you have Pitaka Power Dongle or you bought MagEZ Slider with it. It also charges powerbank, this time it looks better compared to MagEZ Juice 2.
Design
Pitaka did it again, design wise it’s well thought. MagEZ Slider is minimalistic, sleek and functional thanks to its pyramidal shape. The base of it is circular, and it rotates in 360 degrees, it helps you to get your AirPods or other TWS earphones from the back when the rest of the devices are in the front.

I don’t mind using two colors by Pitaka but there will be some users who would want it all black or any other color. A mixture of gunmetal gray and black looks good, especially with transparent Power Dongle and black „seat” for earphones.
Powerbank, is it better than before?
It might be odd at first when you want to put your phone on the rotating stand. There’s no room for an iPhone there because you have to put Pitaka’s powerbank first, then your smartphone. Bear that in mind, it’s a place for one of the pieces in the bundle.
This time it has 4000 mAh compared to 2800 mAh in MagEZ Juice 2. It’s also smaller and wider, the button to turn it on is in the same spot but this time there’s a MagSafe marking on the newest one.

Aramid Fibre mixed with stainless steel is here again but this time everything is kept in one color, all black, when in MagEZ Juice 2 it’s blue and black.
MagSafe helps the new powerbank to connect it wirelessly to an iPhone 12 or newer and every Galaxy S22 with MagEZ 2 case on it. In the latter case, it means you can even use Galaxy S22 with the stand.
iPhone can be used in portrait or landscape view, everything depends on the user. Let’s say you want to watch a film or short video on YouTube, you can do it while your device is charging. The phone won’t fall down from the stand even when you’re going to rotate it, but bear in mind you need a case or use an iPhone without it.

5 watts again, so it won’t replenish the battery of a device you’re using. I noticed that when it was in one of my pockets, it stopped charging my iPhone 12 with MagEZ case. I didn’t like the fact that I had to press the button to turn it on before I attached it to the case for charging, it should start automatically.
Earphones charging
Usual wireless chargers have a place for earphones underneath a magnetic stand for a smartphone. It wouldn’t be feasible in case of MagEZ Slider. Fortunately, there’s a space for that on the back, that’s where the small, black slab comes in handy.
It connects magnetically to the back of the stand, then you can put absolutely any TWS earphones, they don’t have to be AirPods, which are charged using Qi. Charging from ¼ of a charge takes over an hour in case of Urbanista London and Jabra Elite 85t.

I tried to put another smartphone there, Galaxy S20 FE was too heavy, and it falls down along with black slab, so use it only for earphones.
iPhone? Check! Earphones? Check! What about Apple Watch?
Pitaka Power Dongle can be bundled with MagEZ Slider or not, it’s up to any of you to choose the right version. MagEZ Slider has a built – in USB-C port on the right side, that’s where you can connect a Power Dongle.

I used mine because I’m using it for quite some time, everything worked as it should and Apple Watch SE could be charged along with an iPhone 12 and one of my TWS earphones of choice.
Should you buy it?
It’s definitely better than MagEZ Juice 2 but powerbank is on the same level. I know it’s a stand, where you can charge multiple devices, but if I would go out and need additional power, I would use a powerbank instead of a whole installation.
This time powerbank is only a part of the entire product, the rest is more than good. Until now, I used a simple stand for MagSafe and Apple Watch charger, but since I got MagEZ Slider it changed. I use it not only to charge my phone and watch, earphones too.
USB-C port is a good addition because it creates room for another attachments similar to Power Dongle. Let’s say you’re a Samsung fan, you buy MagEZ Case 2, got Galaxy Buds Pro, but you need something to charge Galaxy Watch 4, Pitaka should be able to make Power Dongle for it too.
I’m aware they invested a lot in Apple ecosystem but there are many good devices except Apple’s.
You can buy MagEZ Slider here.
